about me

TOGETHER, AS NECHAMA, LET'S IMMORTALIZE YOUR STORY.

Born in Moscow in the late eighties, I am Anastasia Monasher, hebrew name - Nechama, a woman whose journey through life has been as captivating as the images I now capture through my lens. At 18, while navigating the expectations of my Jewish father, I ventured into the world of law, securing my degree from MGIMO. For half a decade, Moscow's bustling legal corridors knew me well, but New York called out with a different challenge. In the heart of the Big Apple, I delved into construction project management and design.

Yet, it was the sun-kissed shores of Miami that rekindled an old flame: photography. Before calling Miami home, I refined my craft at Moscow's renowned White School of Photography. While studio shoots initially caught my eye, it was the essence of Jewish festivities that truly resonated with my soul. These were not just events; they were echoes of a rich heritage, traditions passed down through generations, and celebrations brimming with profound significance.

My photographs are more than mere visuals; they serve as portals to past moments, bringing forth the feelings, sounds, and nuances of those cherished times. Each click is a chronicle, not just capturing an image but weaving a story filled with emotions and legacies. Drawing inspiration from greats like Peter Lindberg, I find vibrancy in every snapshot. Within the lively tapestry of Miami's Jewish community, I discover countless narratives yearning to be unveiled. My lens tells tales of familial bonds, shared histories of the Jewish diaspora, and the hopeful promise of the future, letting viewers not just see but feel and relive the moments.

If you're in search of a photographer who views each snapshot as a cherished piece of history, reach out. Together, as Nechama, let's immortalize your story.
